SSF had First Order brothers living in Aotearoa New Zealand at first in Auckland from 1969 to 2002 and then Hamilton until 2020. At present there are none living in NZ. For vocational enquiries contact the Province of the Divine Compassion website

Third Order
The Province of the Pacific comprises two regions, one in Aotearoa New Zealand, the other in Melanesia. Aotearoa NZ has seven areas across New Zealand. There are multiple cultures and languages within Aotearoa New Zealand. We are closely linked with the Province of Asia- Pacific. There are 109 professed tssf and a large number of postulants and novices .

Companions
Since the First Order Brothers are no longer resident in Aotearoa the Third Order has responsibility for Companions to the Society of St. Francis in Aotearoa. Companions are a diverse group associated with the Third Order without having to take life vows. Their main commitment is to pray for the work of the Franciscan community on a local and international basis, receiving newsletters and information as requested.
